Department of Commerce
The department of commerce started during the academic year 1971-1972 with B.Com. The PG degree M.Com started during the academic year 2005-2006. To meet the heavy demand for pursuing B.Com among the poor and needy people in and around vriddhachalam town, the Higher Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu gave permission to start B.Com in shift – II during the year 2007-2008.
The Research Programme M.Phil in commerce started in the year 2013-2014 in both full-time and part time. At present, more than 76 students were awarded M.Phil in commerce.
