ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Department of Business Administration, Organises special lecture in the topic of “Personality development” for the sake of business administration student’s welfare, on 23.02.2017 at soft skill center hall. The Programme was started with lighting the kuthu vizhakku , by Dr.V.Indumathi principal,Dr. R.Sritharan, Assistant Professor from Annamalai University and by Dr.G.Suganthi Assistant Professor and Head.
ABOUT PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT:
Personality development is defined as a process of developing and enhancing one’s personality. Personality development helps an individual to gain confidence and high self esteem. Personality development also is said to have a positive impact on one’s communication skills and the way he sees the world. Individuals tend to develop a positive attitude as a result of personality development.
Personality development helps you develop a positive attitude in life. An individual with a negative attitude finds a problem in every situation. Rather than cribbing and criticizing people around, analyze the whole situation and try to find an appropriate solution for the same. Remember, if there is a problem, there has to be a solution as well. Never lose your cool. It would make the situation worse.
It is essential for individuals to behave well with people around. Being polite with others will not only make you popular among other people but also earn you respect and pride. You can’t demand respect by being rude with people around. Personality development plays an important role in developing not only your outer but also inner self. Human being is a social animal. One needs people around. An individual needs to have that magnetic power which attracts people towards him. You need to have that charisma of yours. Personality development helps you gain recognition and acceptance from the society as well as people around.

“E-QUIZ On MONEY CONTROL AND COVID-19”-30.05.2020 to 01.06.2020
OBJECTIVES OF E-QUIZ
A quiz is a game which can also be called a mind sport wherein the players, either as individuals or in teams attempt to answer questions posed to them correctly, in order to win a prize. Over the years people have been fascinated by these quizzes which have been broad – casted on television sets. And are still watched and enjoyed by children and adults alike even today!
But how many of us are familiar with the prospect of quizzes and the objective. The objective of every Indian quizzing competition is to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of the learnt concepts. It is easier said than done nonetheless. But most schools and colleges have gone further than that and have conducted quiz competitions. In the process they have figured out the various benefits of quiz competitions, so let’s find out the same.in the covid situation Thiru kolajappar government arts college ,Department of business administration organises national E-quiz for the Students and staffs all over from Tamilnadu ,Nearly 725 responses for the Programme arrived. And nearly 665 respondents got achievement certificate for the respondents who scored more than 60% of marks.

ONE WEEK ONLINE STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME- 29.06.2020-05.07.2020
NEED FOR THE PROGRAMME
On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified the new coronavirus (COVID-19) as a pandemic, due to the increase in conformed cases of individuals who have contracted the virus worldwide. As institutions of higher education around the globe are enacting travel bans, quarantine, and suspending face-to-face teaching, policymakers and practitioners have implemented a number of new policies and procedures to mitigate the public health effects of COVID-19. At the same time, the COVID-19 crisis has revealed the severe inequality and inequity that exists in higher education worldwide. For example, issues surrounding access to distance education and the enrollment of international students and scholars in developing and transitional economies have taken on heightened importance. The Institute of International Education (IIE) (2020) cautioned that As a result, cancellations of events, postponed and cancelled study abroad programmes, and moving teaching and operations virtually have disparate impacts on the internationalization and globalization of higher education.
As of mid-April, 191 countries had shut down all schools and institutions of higher education. The shift to online learning has been uneven. Some systems were able to train teachers, roll out online learning, and put in place learner support services in less than a week. Others are still struggling, constrained by the lack of access to technology and expertise.
OBJECTIVES OF SDP
The objective to this development Programme is to familiarize our new student development professionals with an individual student identity development area as it relates to student transitional obstacles. We will specifically address how students perceive their level of academic preparedness (readiness level) upon entering higher education and, the developmental obstacles they potentially face during the transition. This is an area that has been strongly demonstrated with great frequency in all three batch students in post-secondary educational environments. As each student undoubtedly brings with them a certain level of self-efficacy regarding their academic performance and abilities, we will demonstrate the various obstacles that can have an impact on student academic success and consequential perseverance; and further, provide pathways to assist in their identity development through proactive measures.
About the Programme
To Enrich the student in online learning the department of business administration organises Student Development Programme for all Business Administration students in Thirukolanjiappar Government Arts college students 104 students registered and out of 104 students 96 students attended all the seven days Programme and attended daily quiz and participated in final day quiz. At the end of the day 96 E-certificates issued for the students attended the all seven days Programme and 96 E-certificates issued for the students who successfully scored more than 75% of score in final day quiz.

DEPARTMENT
ACTIVITIVES: 2015-2020
The
department of mathematics was started from the inception of the college (i.e., during
the year 1972-1973) and UG program in Mathematics (B.sc (Mathematics)) was
started in the year 1972-73 in our college with both English and Tamil medium.
PG
program in Mathematics is M.sc (Mathematics) has been started from the academic
year 2005-2006. To meet the heavy demand
among public, the government gave permission to start B.sc (Mathematics) in
Shift II (both English and Tamil medium) from the academic year (2007-2008) on
words.
Affiliation have been received from the Thiruvalluvar
University, Vellore for conducting the Research programme M.Phil in Mathematics
(both full-time and part time) from the academic year 2013-2014.
To start Research programme Ph.D in Mathematics the
inspection committee constituted by Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore and gave
permission to start Ph.D in mathematics from the year 2015-2016.
At present, nearly 450 students (both boys and
girls) are studying in our department and 19 staff members are working in our
department.
Department of Mathematics having our own Library apart
from general library. Department Library
consisting of nearly 1500 books including all the text and reference books for
the age of faculty and students of our
department.
At present, our college is affiliated to the
Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore and hence we follow the curriculam/syllabus
framed by the Board of studies constituted by TVU for UG/PG/M.Phil/Ph.D
programmes. Syllabus are choice Based
credit system (BCS) given by the University.
Our
college follows TN Government guidelines for the admission of students for
various UG, PG, M.Phil and PG programmes.
Our
department alumni meet 2015 has been conducted on 27.09.2015. More than 250 alumni members from different
part our country were participated in the function. Ms. G. Jayanthi, Associate
professor and Head of the Department presented the welcome address. Our principle, then Dr. G. Vananga Mudi
presided over the alumni meet. Retired
Professors and former head of our Department Professor M. Varadharajan,
